Arrival and Transport: A quick note on airport pick-up
Some supervisors or thesis advisors may voluntarily offer to arrange an airport pick-up for newly arriving doctoral researchers. This is a kind and informal gesture that some faculty members choose to make on their own initiative. It is entirely optional and depends on the individual, so there is no expectation that such support will be offered, nor should it be assumed or requested.
If your supervisor does mention this possibility, it is perfectly fine to accept graciously. If not, the sections below cover the standard transport options from the airport to campus and accommodation.
